A Remote Himalayan Gem I’ll Never Forget

I didn’t want the typical crowded trail, so Majestic Trails Nepal suggested the Tsum Valley Trek, and wow — it was everything I didn’t know I needed. The landscapes were rugged, wild, and spiritual. My guide Kaji Sherpa and porter Lakpa Tamang were true professionals. Kaji’s mountain stories kept the trail lively, and Lakpa carried my heavy pack with a smile every day. We laughed over dal bhat, listened to monks at Rachen Gompa, and even spotted Himalayan blue sheep. The trek felt raw and authentic — no Wi-Fi, no rush, just nature and ancient culture. The route was challenging in parts, but Majestic Trails’ pacing made it doable and enjoyable. The attention to detail and local connection made a big difference. I’ll 100% come back for the Manaslu Circuit with this team next year. Dhanyabad!

My Dream Trek in the Sacred Tsum Valley

I always dreamed of visiting a lesser-known region in Nepal, and the Hidden Valley of Happiness lived up to its name. I joined a small group trek with Majestic Trails Nepal — just four of us, and it felt perfectly personal. Our guide Nima Gurung and porter Ram Bahadur Rai were incredible — professional, friendly, and deeply connected to the region. Nima had relatives in Chumling, so we were even welcomed into a local kitchen for butter tea. That memory will stay with me forever. Even in a group, I felt completely safe and looked after as a female traveler. The team paced everything just right and always checked on our well-being, especially as we gained altitude toward Mu Gompa and Rachen Gompa. A Sacred Journey Off the Beaten Path

I had done the Everest Base Camp trek years ago, but the Tsum Valley Trek was something else entirely — quiet, spiritual, and absolutely humbling. Majestic Trails Nepal handled everything flawlessly. From the moment I landed, my guide Purna Tamang and porter Rjaesh Lama made me feel completely at ease. The trails were peaceful, and the people in the valley were some of the kindest I’ve ever met. Walking through villages like Chumling and Chhokang Paro felt like being transported back in time. Mu Gompa was a highlight — surreal views, total silence, and monks chanting in the mountain wind.
