About Majestic Trails Nepal

Majestic Trails Nepal is an emerging trekking and tour company founded by Bibek Dhamala, a trekking professional who has spent almost a decade walking and working in Nepal’s mountain trails. For Bibek, the connection with trekking began long before he carried a trekking bag or led a group into the mountains.

Growing up in a village called “ Todke“, surrounded by the views of Manaslu and Ganesh Himal, he was always fascinated by foreign trekkers who had travelled so far to see the mountain he had grown up calling home. He would often follow the guests brought to his village by his uncle, show them his village, and try communicating with them, even though he could not speak English at the time.

Eventually, that curiosity became something deeper.

Like many young Nepalese of his generation, Bibek had a plan to leave Nepal after completing high school, continue his education abroad, and build a future somewhere else. But somewhere along the way, he realised that the place he was thinking of leaving was also the place where he wanted to build his future.

He chose to stay.

What began as a childhood fascination, a simple dream of sharing the culture, beauty, and spirit of Nepal with travellers from all around, Majestic Trails Nepal was officially established in 2026.

Based in Nepal, Majestic Trails Nepal is a young company born from a boy following trekkers through his village, a young man choosing the mountain trails over a life abroad, and a porter turned guide who decided to build something of his own.

Today, Majestic Trails Nepal carries that journey forward with a vision to build a company that puts people first: our travellers, our guides and porters, our communities, and the mountains we call home.

Because for us, for Bibek, Nepal is not simply a destination we take you to. It is our home.

From the vibrant cities to the remote trails of the Himalayas, we believe every journey is more than simply reaching a destination. It is also about the people you meet, the landscapes you walk on, the cultures you experience, and the memories you carry with you for life.

From Carrying Loads to Leading Journeys through the Mountains

The story of Majestic Trails Nepal begins on the very pathways where our founder, Bibek, started as a porter. Rather than entering the trekking industry in an office, Bibek decided to pave this path from the very bottom as a porter and learn the work from where the trail begins.

Bibek’s first trek was the Langtang Valley Trek. From here, he went on to work across Nepal’s major trekking routes, spent his days knowing the mountain from the ground up, and learning the importance of hard work, patience, preparation, teamwork, safety, and responsibility. Things that cannot be learnt from a guidebook or from a map.

Carrying loads and supporting travellers through Nepal’s challenging mountain terrain, step by step, season by season, his hard work and dedication led him from a porter to a government-licensed trekking guide.

One journey after another, he eventually developed a deep respect for the mountains, the people, the guides, and the porters who make every Himalayan adventure possible.

His journey as a guide shaped the idea behind Majestic Trails Nepal: a company of his own, one that reflects the values he learned along the way.

Our Mission

Our mission is straightforward: to create journeys through Nepal while treating our people, our guests, our communities, and our mountains with utmost respect. We want every trek led by Majestic Trails Nepal to be built around three things:

People
Fair treatment for porters and guides, honest communication with guests, and a safe working environment where everyone involved in a trek is valued.

Safety
Careful preparation before the trek, qualified guides, responsible decision-making in the mountains, and active attention to our guests’ well-being throughout the journey.

Responsibility
Respect for local communities, reducing unnecessary waste on the trails, and making sure the growth of our company also creates opportunities for the people and the places that make these journeys possible.

Our Vision

Majestic Trails Nepal intends to grow, but with a clear purpose beyond simply becoming bigger. Our vision is to build a company known for its responsible trekking, honest information, strong local knowledge, ethical treatment of its team, and genuine care for its guests.

As we grow, we want to build a team of people who are experts and love what they do, and those who share the same attitude towards responsible tourism as us.

Lastly, Majestic Trails envisions introducing travellers to parts of Nepal that deserve more attention. One of those places is Ganesh Himal, the region our founder calls home and discovered his love for the mountains.

With plans to develop and promote the Ganesh Himal Trek, creating opportunities for the communities along the route, we see Majestic Trails Nepal not only in the famous trails, but also in the quieter ones. We picture us on places where a trek becomes a meaningful connection with Nepal and its beauty rather than simply another destination checked off a bucket list.

What We Believe In

Majestic Trails Nepal did not start simply to sell trekking packages. We started because our founder believed there was a better way to operate a trekking company.

For us, that belief begins with the people who make every journey possible, the porters.

We believe that a good trekking company should care about more than getting guests from one place to another. Our founder’s personal experience as a porter carrying loads, as a guide leading travellers, and now as someone building his own company has shaped how we want Majestic Trails Nepal to operate.

• We believe that people behind every trek deserve the same respect and care as the trekkers travelling on it.
• We believe that safety should be practised, not something promised on a website.
• We believe our guests deserve honest information about difficulties, weather, accommodation, altitude, walking hours, and the realities of travelling in the mountains.
• We believe that the mountains are not ours to take from. As the mountains are living environments, home to communities, wildlife, and generations of people, we believe each visitor has a responsibility to leave these places with as little impact as possible.
• We believe tourism should give something back to the community and continue to grow with dreams to work more closely with local schools and health posts in trekking regions, where appropriate.

Majestic Trails Nepal is a budding company with an opportunity to build things the right way from the beginning. We do not pretend to have decades of history or to be the biggest trekking operators in Nepal.

As we continue to grow, we want to build a team of responsible people, grounded by their roots, trustworthy, and reliable in any situation. We aspire to build a trekking company that puts people before numbers, safety before schedules, honesty before sales, and the mountains before convenience.

This is what we believe in, because for us, this is more than a trek.
