My Dream Trek in the Sacred Tsum Valley

I always dreamed of visiting a lesser-known region in Nepal, and the Hidden Valley of Happiness lived up to its name. I joined a small group trek with Majestic Trails Nepal — just four of us, and it felt perfectly personal. Our guide Nima Gurung and porter Ram Bahadur Rai were incredible — professional, friendly, and deeply connected to the region. Nima had relatives in Chumling, so we were even welcomed into a local kitchen for butter tea. That memory will stay with me forever. Even in a group, I felt completely safe and looked after as a female traveler. The team paced everything just right and always checked on our well-being, especially as we gained altitude toward Mu Gompa and Rachen Gompa. This wasn’t just a trek — it was a spiritual experience in one of the quietest corners of the Himalayas. Thank you Majestic Trails for making it unforgettable.

A Sacred Journey Off the Beaten Path

I had done the Everest Base Camp trek years ago, but the Tsum Valley Trek was something else entirely — quiet, spiritual, and absolutely humbling. Majestic Trails Nepal handled everything flawlessly. From the moment I landed, my guide Purna Tamang and porter Suman Lama made me feel completely at ease. The trails were peaceful, and the people in the valley were some of the kindest I’ve ever met. Walking through villages like Chumling and Chhokang Paro felt like being transported back in time. Mu Gompa was a highlight — surreal views, total silence, and monks chanting in the mountain wind. Purna explained every Mani wall, monastery, and ritual with care, which added depth to the journey. I’m so glad I chose Majestic Trails. Their personal attention and love for this region truly shows. Highly recommended if you're looking for a trek that’s remote, authentic, and full of soul.
